| This is a page from an anceint text written by the ancient order of the Lion in days long forgotten. It was recovered in the year 1004 in a tomb.
it reads:
I am gentle, yet courage flows through my veins
I am honorable, and all shall know my courtesy
I am noble, tempered with humility
I am disciplined, and I have no fear of my enemies.
These are words to live by even in our day and age. Every knight of the lion should know these words, understand them, and live by them. I encourage every member of the order to learn them by heart.

| For myself, I will add:
And I am a Lion, strong, patient and valiant

| The Knights of the Lion is more then just a dream that me and perter created.
Yes we layed down the foundaition but ultamitly the lions is just a name. Its the people in the lions who make us what we are and give us life.

| Indeed.
My opnion, humble as it is, is that we should keep the litany just the way it is. I added my part because I try to embody those qualities.
I invite you to remember the litany, recite it and try to live by it, even to add your own ending, that means something for you, as it might help you live even more by it and hold it close to your heart.
I tell you, nobility is a path that is best walked with companions, yet a true noble heart is forged alone.

| Might I add that prayer is a definite must.
A noble heart is not only forged in the midst of fierce combat but through silent nights of faithful prayers to the One above, forging your soul in the very fire of God

| It's been a while since nobody wrote here!
I think that maybe new recruits should learn the Lion's litany, just as we should too. it would add some grandeur to the ceremonial of accepting a new member within our ranks.
My guess is knowing the litany should be a definite must for knights and every would-be knights too.
Just my two cents here. | |
