A knock at the door

Devant son echec pour raviver la flamme de Lumiere et l'impossibilité d'en extraire de nouveau Sire Auguste commence a réaliser la gravité de la situation...

Il referme donc les scellés et cours le plus vite qu'il le peux afin de rejoindre les autres et dit:


- La Lumière est très faible... on peut rien en tirer en ce moment et les démons sont partout... ON EST DANS MARDE LES GARS!!!!

chasm:

"wooo!! look at this brother they brought us supper" echoed througn the crevice.

" i can taste the delicious, delicious blood from from here brother" answered the echo followed by more laughter.

brotor took out his sword and waved his torch around hoping to see his attackers.

Sir Auguste, je pense que nous allons devoir trouver un moyen pour raviver la lumière rapidement. Je pense que nous allons en avoir besoin...

"You motherfuckers!" yelled Brotor trying to find where the laughing voices came from. "The only supper you'll get is 3 feet of cold steel promptly stabbed in your anal cavity!"

Seeing Brotor shouting and drawing his sword snapped Bear out of a brief reverie.

"Darius, it appears as though our good man down below has found something worthy of note. Shall we provide aid?"

As this sentence finished itself, Bear's palm found his grinning face as he overheard Brotor shouting something about shoving his sword into his unknown enemy's rectum.

"You know what? Disregard what I just said. It seems that he has everything under control."

brotor:

on the crevices floor brotor stood his ground. he streched his senses trying to determines where his enemiea might come from. he waved his torches around trying to pierce the darkness around him.

he felt movement behind him, his training kicked in and he reflextivly swung his sword. unfortunatly it bit through thin air. he suddently felt anjarring pain through his left leg. three deep claw mark made deep furrows into his leg armor but where the armor stopped blood was running free. he could still stand but barely.

" did you see that brother almost took out his whole legs there, his blood tastes so good!!" the high voice in the darkness said

" a meal in a can!! brother save some for me! HAHAHAHA!" replied the other.

"Oh you little dick gobbler!" "Bear i'm gonna need back up here!"

Jumping off his horse, DeadSalmonInaWhiteWineSauce, Guibourg grabs a large oil flask and empties it on his cloak, tightly wraps the cloth around the pole of an all-metal hallberd and lights it with his flint firestarter, he yells to his companions.
"No way we're leaving him alone in there ! Let's go ! CHARGE !"

"You heard the man Darius, let's roll out. I'll rally the troops. Men-at-arms!" the ex-sergeant shouted "Into the hole!"

Excitement flooded through Bear as he descended into the crevice. It was his first battle since the snows began to fall! Giggling wildly, and breaking into a run as he hit flat land, he drew his blade and made sure that his shield was properly strapped to his arm. As he entered the structure and quickly made his way to the side of his good friend Brotor, he set up his hanging guard and allowed his eyes to adjust to the dimness.

"Never fear! Bear Blackspear is here!"

stone circle:

the lions charged to the aid of brotor. he was swinging his sword as best he could trying to hit his tormentors but to no avail. the claws of the creatures had found their marks again riping open the chain mail on brotors arm and carving into his flesh.

guibourg arrived at the circle brandishing his makeshift massive torch. brotor fell to the ground exausted and darius came to his aid to heal him of his wounds. the stone circle was completly illuminated now . but no signs of the beasts.

then from farther away:

" now look at that brother more lions"

" i hear brother that these people love buffet so nice of them to serve us one"

" how long do you think their little torch will last brother?"

" i d say 15 minutes brother. HAHAHA!"

- Sir Auguste grand inquisiteur, que je ne vous plus jamais parlé comme ça. L’inquisition est supposé être le dernier rempart devant les ténèbres. Un peu de colonne que diable !! Et cessez de vous donnez en spectacle devant tout le monde ..... et le collège !!


- Il faut travailler sur les runes. Nous savons tous que les démons en veulent à la lumière, nous devons également la régénéré. L'épée devait être une arme pour voler la chaleur et/ou la lumière .... on sait qu'il y a un rapport avec le reflet .

"Do not fear these cowards who'd rather hide in the darkness than confront us directly, Lions! We will hold firm, and await our chance to strike back when they come to attack us. Now, as far as we know, we have the advantage."

Roland began wondering... This man who had come from outside the walls, was it possible that he was Cynan's son returned? Aged by the demons that he must have been fighting all along? Reaching for Cynan's shoulder, Roland sought to confirm this suspicion...

"Sir Cynan, please have a look at our guest. He is no longer conscious, but before falling into stupor said something about our best weapon being spent.
I am not certain if he was speaking of the holy Light... or the sword that was shattered."

" brother! our food is calling us coward!" the voice from the darkness said

" he must think flattery will take him off the menu brother. like that s gonna happen..." followed by more high pitch laughter

xathor

the black baron looked at the remains of the sword there was barely anything left of it. the blade was gone, the gard half destroyed and the handle singed. he then looked at the partial translation by cassandre and saw there was no more to get from it but maybe there was something else if only he could understand what these letters meant.

roland

roland and cynan went to see the old man. cynan had only seen the boy as an infant. later some lions had mets him again in the shadowrealm and said he looked very much like cynan.

the old man might have once looked like him but there was no way to tell he was so old and scared.

it was very hard for cynan to look at that person for if he was really his son then he dared not think of the pain he must have suffered to be like this now.

Guibourg looks around, searching for clues to ways to fight this devilry. But then he thinks everyone knows a torch will not last. Are these voices coming from mere mortals, pranksters hiding in dark corners and cackling their taunts in the echoing chamber, to scare us away  ?
He looks at all the walls, tapping them with the butt end of his halberd.

guibourg

the sound of metal on stone reverberates through the crevices. farther in the distance laughters continues.

guibourg looks down on the ground and sees that he is steping on some of brotors blood. he then thinks: if they are but mortals they sure did a number on a trained and amored warrior.

guibourg looks to his surrounding. it looks pretty desolate. not much more than a few pillars of stone and plenty of places to hide. the chapel look fairly sturdy whoever built it meant it to last but did not think very big. a dozens people would fit in it maximum. the entire structure is made of stone as well as the furniture.

"I cannot fight those creatures and heal my men at the same time! It sounds like your torch is the only thing that keeps us alive Guibourg, so keep it lit at all costs!"

Sir Darius was straining his powers to cure the wounds of Brotor, who had received more than his share in this battle.

"At this rate, we won't make it out alive. There must be a way!"

Ragnar noticed the ashes in the stone circle. ``These ashes don`t go beyond the circle and the flame seems to be keeping these creatures at bay... There must be something we can do... Perhaps fire is the answer, they seem to be cautious of Sir Guibourg`s flame.``

Ragnar analyses the ash-covered ground and tries to find clues to understand this phenomenon.

Deagon, who stood still for the past 6 hours doing nothing, snapped out of it. Seeing that he missed nearly all the action, he decided to go talk with Hector about his next challenge.

''So, I heard that you and Rolland are about to take on the Gargantua eh?''

ragnar

ragnar notices the ashes on the ground. they seem to form a perfect circle with the stones.

outside the circle he can see some twigs and leaves scatered around but none inside. the ashes look fresh they might have been there a day or so.

"Ragnar, I think Brotor's wounds are almost healed. Go grab every flammable item you can find and form a pyre! When you're ready, give the signal and we'll pin those fuckers down and burn them to ashes," sir Darius said gritting his teeth.

Tales of deep and ancient magic often show that a circle's focus is in its center.
Guibourg heads for the exact center of the circle, moving quickly yet careful of any hidden traps that may lay about.

- Il faut trouvé la source de la lumière, dit le Baron à Cassandre, Roland et Auguste.


Dans un coin sombre, la jeune Elya suivait tout ce qui se passé d,un air médusé. Elle semblait perdu vus l'ampleur de la menace, qui pensait sur le Lionshold. Le Black Baron se tourna vers elle et lui dit avec une voix douce :

- Elya, j'ai une mission pour toi. Tu vois, il y avait des runes sur cette épée avant qu'elle explose. J'aimerais que tu montres ces runes à tout les lions qui reste, pour essayer de trouver le message ou le nom du propriétaire. Je pense que commencé par Cynan serait une bonne idée. Ton aider serait plus que bienvenus.

he looked at his torch most of the cloth had burnt away by now the light was now barely reaching the outer stone.

he then looked around and found that the chapel was built right at the center of the circle. he went inside...

Roland listened to Elya and searched his accumulated experiences from his travels for possible translations to the runes, making sure to consult Cynan while doing so.

He was going to help look for the light, but something about the sword and it's owner was bothering him. Their arrival was obviously central to the dilemma the Lions currently faced...
